What's For Dinner?
Written by: Holly | April 2007

How often do you find yourself deliberating over what to make for dinner? Not only do you have to try to figure out what to make, but you also have to try to find the time to actually make it. Between working late, driving the kids to their extracurricular activities or returning e-mails, we often leave taking care of ourselves and having a healthy meal by the wayside.

So, what if you could have someone make really nutritious and delectable meals for you during your busy work week? I don’t mean leaving your spouse to run off with Emeril or Rachel Ray, I mean having someone drop off home cooked meals at your door for the whole week. This can actually happen!

There is a new rise in the number of caterers out there who specialize in doing just that. They will make a week’s worth of meals for you, using fresh, delicious and wholesome ingredients and they will bring them directly to you so that you can just heat them up each night when you get home. You keep the meals frozen in airtight packages until you are ready to heat them up and then you are all set with a full meal within minutes.

Now, we’re not just talking about your run of the mill grub either, we’re talkin’ about gourmet dishes like Thai curry chicken, pork roast, gourmet spaghetti and meatballs, jerk chicken, and the list goes on!

I am lucky to have a few fantastic chefs in my area who specialize in this kind of home catering. The first such chef I met was Roger Ouellette from Cuisine In Motion, based out of Whitby, Ontario. I asked Roger why he started preparing these home-delivered meals as a part of his thriving catering business and he said, “I wanted to find a way to make a difference for families who were missing out on great, nutritious meals because of their hectic schedules. I love cooking and it makes me so happy to hear the wonderful feedback that I receive from my clients about the food that I have prepared for them.”

Roger’s passion for fine cuisine is evident in every single morsel of food that he prepares. I couldn’t believe how quick and easy it was to just heat up the dishes that he had delivered to us. I have to admit, I even considered inviting friends over for dinner and then pretending that I had concocted the masterpieces myself. Of course, I just couldn’t do that as it would prevent my friends from experiencing the much needed service themselves.

If you like jerk chicken, you definitely have to check out Suez Cuisine. Not that jerk chicken is the only offering on the Suez Cuisine menu though, she has a very impressive array of tasty treats (but the jerk chicken is an absolute must try). And you want to get onto Sue’s mailing list as she sends updates of her weekly specials.

Check out the Cuisine In Motion and Suez Cuisine ShopAware.com Biz Pages for their contact information and be sure to give them a try. You will be very glad that you did!
